Susanne Chalmers

DEN0001582285 - Registered Dental Therapist Susanne Chalmers is a Dental Therapist with over 20 years' experience caring for children, adults and patients with additional needs. She is passionate about providing gentle, personalised care and creating a positive, comfortable dental experience for every patient. Having lived in Albany for the past 11years, Susanne is proud to be part of the local community and is committed to providing quality dental care for Albany and the surrounding region. Outside of dentistry, Susanne has a strong passion for health, fitness and wellbeing and owns a local gym. She is a lifelong horse lover and enjoys an active outdoor lifestyle. Susanne values building genuine, lasting relationships with her patients and helping families achieve healthy smiles for life.
Dr Chris Hill

Chris graduated from the University of Western Australia in 1995 before working at Perth Dental Hospital for a year and after that in private practice in West Perth. Chris moved to Denmark with his family in 2005 and fell in love with the Great Southern, he has been caring for the families of this region ever since.  More recently Chris has used his knowledge and experience to help establish a new dental clinic in the heart of Albany, Sanford Dental. Throughout his career Chris has maintained a keen interest in all areas of dentistry and enjoys continuing education with a focus on providing the best possible care to his patients. To achieve this Chris is a member of a number of online study groups featuring leading figures in the industry and has a close relationship with a number of specialists in WA. When not at the clinic Chris enjoys a morning swim at Middleton Beach, drinking coffee at his favourite cafes and spending time with his family.
Dr Jack Bain

Jack Bain completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery at the University of Glasgow in 2016.   He began his dental career in Scotland, where he developed a strong interest in helping patients feel relaxed and confident about their oral health. In 2021, Jack relocated to the Netherlands and embraced practising in a new country, becoming fluent in Dutch and building strong connections with his patients through clear communication and trust.   Jack has a particular interest in caring for patients who experience dental anxiety. His gentle approach, combined with his previous experience providing IV sedation, allows him to make even the most nervous patients feel at ease throughout their treatment.   Dedicated to lifelong learning, Jack regularly takes part in continuing education and has completed several courses in endodontics and restorative dentistry. He is currently completing a diploma in aesthetic and restorative dentistry. Outside of dentistry he enjoys travelling, going out to restaurants and trying to counterbalance this by long distance running.
Dr Sky Cody

Sky graduated from the University of Liverpool in the UK and has since gained valuable experience working in dental practices across Wales, prior to relocating to Australia. Sky has spent some time recently travelling and exploring different areas of Australia and is excited to start her new adventure in Albany. With a keen interest in modern cosmetic and restorative dentistry, Sky is an Invisalign provider and enjoys helping patients achieve healthier, more confident smiles through discreet orthodontic treatment. Outside of dentistry, Sky is a keen Formula 1 enthusiast and enjoys following the sport alongside spending time with family and friends.
Joon Seo

Joon has worked in the dental industry for 25 years in the public, private and education sectors. Early on, Joon trained and worked at the Sydney Dental Hospital as a Dental Technician where he worked and learnt from the Specialist Prosthodontists. He then completed his clinical qualifications in 2008 where he went into private practice working for himself and in group practices in Sydney and Perth. Joon has also lectured in the Diploma of Dental Technology and Advanced Diploma of Dental Prosthetics at TAFE NSW and is currently the Chair of the Local Area Committee for the WA branch of the ADPA (Australian Dental Prosthetists’ Association) Joon has a keen interest in educating future Dental Technicians and Prosthetists while also gaining knowledge and skill in digital dentures and utilising 3D printing for dentistry. On his days off, you will find Joon tinkering with his car, forever renovating his office, hogging the couch watching tv or enjoying time off with his family.
Michelle Ellis

Michelle completed an Associate Diploma in Dental Therapy 1985 at W.A.I.T (now Curtin University). Her experience includes working in The School Dental Service, private general practice and specialist orthodontic practice, in Bunbury, Perth and Albany. Preventive dentistry, patient education and treatment of gum disease are important to Michelle. Shared patient care with specialist periodontists helps reduce patients need to travel to Perth for treatment. Her vast experience in orthodontics is valuable when treating patients who are undergoing orthodontic treatment. Outside of work Michelle enjoys an early morning walk and swim at Middleton Beach, bike riding and gardening.
Catherine Braun

Catherine is a Dental Therapist who believes in gentle, trauma-free care and helping children develop positive attitudes towards dental visits that last a lifetime. She graduated from Curtin University in 2009 with an Associate Degree in Dental Therapy. Her career began in dental assisting, but a desire to play a more active role in patient care and to change the often-negative perceptions of childhood dental visits inspired her to train as a Dental Therapist. With over 15 years of experience in paediatric dentistry, Catherine provides a range of care for children and adolescents, including check-ups, fillings, fissure sealants, stainless steel crowns, and scale and cleans. She also extends her gentle approach to adult patients, offering scale and cleans that support oral health across all ages and help families feel confident in their dental care. Outside of work, Catherine enjoys exploring new places and experiences with her husband and two young children, making family time a priority and embracing life with warmth and curiosity.
